In today's disposable culture it can be difficult to find the high quality handcrafted products that you're searching for to create a unique and luxurious look for your home and your wardrobe.
I'm Claire (King - hence King&Eye!) and I live on the beautiful coast of North West England where I can see the mountains of Wales when I look left and the mountains of Cumbria when I look right. I live in a small Victorian town called Southport near to the historic Lancashire woollen mills, where I source a lot of my yarns.
I have always been fascinated by the tactile nature of fabric and how it can affect our mood. Being mindful of our impact on the planet is fundamental in my design philosophy and I seek to redefine what 'luxury' means by creating pieces that are unique to you, instead of contributing to a culture of disposable fashion. My designs use traditional techniques, that avoid the excessive waste associated with other forms of fashion production. Each bespoke piece is created with the aim of becoming a well loved heirloom to be treasured, and to last. I believe my work tells a story, of the material, the maker, and the buyer - I hope to create a story that can be preserved and passed down.
By combining the traditional skills of knitting and crochet with modern environmentally conscious materials of the highest quality creates an ageless style that is so popular in the Scandinavian style homes that are my inspiration.
My products have been featured in British Vogue, House Beautiful, Next and several blogs so you can be confident that you are ordering the most beautiful and elegant pieces you have been looking for, created with craftmanship that will stand the test of time.
